Shovel the Sidewalk’s bright red shovel reveals and symbolizes how businesses can help themselves by employing sound marketing practices. I wanted to create a symbol that could easily be separated from its name and stand on its own.
That way, I could use the shovel creatively for different promotional materials, ads, business cards and other marketing collateral.
For business cards, Shovel the Sidewalk wanted something unique – like its name – that would stand out. I used a heavy weight textured white business card paper stock (playing the role of snow) and embossed the card to create the path to tie in with their tagline.
